Graduation time is here and we're busy making leis! So if you need a lei.. or two... or three... make sure you call to place your order early to ensure you get what you want.

Because this is our busiest season, best to order at least two weeks in advance. There's a point where we have to stop taking orders cuz we're maxed-out. But you can always walk in and TRY to get one from the floral cooler. Good luck cuz it gets crazy busy! As the old saying goes... "The early bird gets the worm". Or should I say... "DA LEI".

Ukulele Classes

It's finally here! The long awaited Ukulele class. This Beginning Ukulele class will start on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 10:00 - 11:30 am. With a Kanikapila Jam Session open to all levels of ukulele players after the class at 11:30 am. It will be held outdoors under a shaded area in front of Motu Hawaii & Ocean's Pizza.

• Cost is $62.00 for a 6-week session

• Advance registration is required for the class

• Must bring your own ukulele

• Handouts will be provided

The instructor will be Frank Leong. Born and raised in Hawaii. Frank has been playing "da ukulele" all his life. He learned from "da beach boys" in Waikiki as a little boy. Since then, "da ukulele" and music has been a life-long passion for him.

Travel Ukulele

Locals Slippers

Calling all Anties and Uncles- Motu Hawaii get plenty Locals!!!!!! Just to let you all know what's up, we (at Motu) try our best to keep all your favorite items stocked. With that being said, we can order the things you love, but it doesn't mean we going get'em. In this case, we've been short Locals for a few months, plus some more months due to a "Locals shortage" in HI.

BUT who cares about that now cuz we get'em, and we're expecting more to come through so that we're stocked through the hot summer season. We also ordered some "Surfah" slippers for all you that like that softer more cusion kine feel.

Guarantee these will sell out quick so we hope to see you sooner.

We get ukus..uhh, I mean Ukuleles!

We have a solid range of ukuleles available for all you island jammers out there! From pineapple shapes to concert sizes with an electric pickup, come in and sample one for yourself. We currently stock Lanikai, Kala, and Makala brands and we have plenty songbooks, chord charts, tuners, strings and cases to go with it. So if you got that itch to start jammin, it's probably cuz my dog has fleas, so come on in try one out!
